The revelation flies in the face of Kevin Costner's portrayal of the outlaw in 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves', and suggests that the title of Mel Brooks's film 'Robin Hood: Men in Tights' may have been closer to the mark.

The reassessment is based on studies of the 14th-century ballads of Robin Hood, the earliest known accounts of his deeds, which detail his relationships with his 'merrie men', especially Little John and Will Scarlet.

On the heels of Michael Jackson's outcry against Eminem's satirical depiction of him as a child molester in his new video, Fox News (and GaySexBlog.net) report that former-porn producer F. Marc Schaffel plans to release a tell-all biography.

Earlier this year, Court TV reported that Schaffel may have been involved with Jackson in a conspiracy to silence the boy accusing Jackson of molestation. Although Jackson denies having any ties with Schaffel since 2002, Schaffel was recently seen having lunch with Jackson's ex-wife Debbie Rowe and Deiter Weizner, a marketing consultant who's worked with Jackson for over ten years.

Of course, in 2002, Jackson pulled a Schaffel-produced 9/11 tribute single and video when Schaffel's porn past was uncovered by the media. A b-rate gay porn producer director with many (terribly mediocre) titles under his belt, Schaffel's only significant footnote in gay porn may be discovering ultra-bland 80's gay-for-pay Rex Chandler.

If Schaffel's tell-all biography hits stores, it won't be the first. And I doubt it will be the most scandalous, either because how could anyone top "Michael Jackson Was My Lover: The Secret Diary of Jordie Chandler"?

Purported to be a true account from a kid who allegedly had a consentual love affair with the gloved one for years, "MJ Was My Lover" was pulled from the shelves by the Jackson camp, and really hard to come by. I've seen copies going for as much as $1,000 on eBay, which is a shame because it has delightfully graphic accounts of MJ's polka-dotted scrotum (which presumably were used to by the police in the infamous "They served a search warrant on me which allowed them to view and photograph my body, including my penis, my buttocks, my lower torso, thighs ..." search and seizure.)
